The flavours in this bowl are very well balanced, with the fried keropok giving just enough saltiness to the slightly bland porridge whil the ginger helps to give it an additional kick. This combinatoin also works well from a textural standpoint, as the crispy fried keropok is mixed together with the softer consistency of the porridge.

Served with a fantastic assortment of side dishes, it’s no wonder people are constantly heading over for a taste of this good old traditional dish.

This restaurant chain is based on the original shop in Singapore and has become well-known for serving this delicacy with porridge. Geylang Lor has earned it’s place with their delectable frog legs paired perfectly paired with the smooth texture of porridge, just like a match made in heaven.
