The Mansion is a fine dining restaurant of Majestic Hotel, also known as one of the award-winning classic hotels that belongs to the hospitality arm of YTL Group, the YTL Hotels.  Given its well-preserved exterior look that resembles the rich culture in the heritage city of Melaka, diners are assured to indulge in a diversity of cuisines from the Peranakan and influences from the past rulers of Melaka such as the Portuguese, Dutch and English. As Melaka is particularly known for its Peranakan cuisine, for first timers, you should definitely try the “Kuih Pai Tee”, a thin, delicate and crispy tart shell filled with a julienned mix of veggies, prawns and light toppings. On the other hand, their “Lamb Shank with Rendang Sauce” is another superb dish that fuses the taste of Portuguese and Indonesian cuisine in one palate! For chilling sessions, “The Lounge” offers light refreshments in the afternoon and “The Bar” offers a wide range of whisky and cocktails all under one roof.

 

Alto Sky Lounge

Occupying a wide open area on the 22nd floor of Hatten Hotel, Alto Sky Lounge will never disappoint you with its pages of menu and a complete fine dining experience featuring French and Western cuisines. Sizzling hot pan dishes such as “Angus Beef Medallions Charton”, are among the chef-recommended ones here, given the sweetness and acidity of the red wine mushroom morel sauce that complements the foie gras sauce pretty well. On top of that, hot soupy dishes, pasta and vegetarian dishes make up their menu as well such as the "Vegetarian Mushroom and Spinach Cannelloni". If a main course can never be satisfied without a dessert, get a mild flaming French crepe such as the "Crepe Suzette" for a zesty dessert!

 

Pampas Sky Dining

One of the newest and highest-level sky dining restaurants in town, situated on 41st floor of “The Shore”, a shopping mall with hotel accommodations and designated residential areas. A member of the Pampas Group of Restaurants, Pampas Sky Dining is comprised of three individual sections, the steakhouse, a lounge and a sky bar. Being labelled as “comfortably elegant” by its regulars, the steakhouse is a fine dining area that is noted for its succulent “Grilled T-Bone Steak”, accompanied by jacket potato, rocket salad and horseradish sauce. Apart from their steak signature dish, they do serve other enticing dishes such as seafood platter, grilled fish, chicken and pasta. For what it’s worth, this is a perfect spot for love birds to enjoy great food and great company with an inexpensive sky view of Melaka!

 

The River Grill

The River Grill is under the management of Casa del Rio, one of the 5-star boutique hotels in Melaka. From serving an international semi-breakfast buffet to offering a daily updated lunch menu, this restaurant is able to accommodate up to 150 pax. If buffet is not your style of dining, there's always an a la carte menu that suits your tastebuds, such as the famous steak here, “Australian Wagyu Tenderloin”, a perfect medium rare meat with a luscious flavour. Apart from that, the “Pan Seared Sea Bass Fillet” is simply delicious with its crisp exterior and juicy in the middle. Alternatively, a grilling section with seafood and meats is made available for a more enlivened dining experience. For casual diners, there’s a dedicated area with a wide selection of drinks and a menu for you to choose from.

 

Olio Italian Restaurant

Olio Italian Restaurant is located on the second floor of a leading hotel with 30 years of achievements in the hotel industry. Notable for their utmost perfection in culinary by the international gastronomic society, “Chaine des Rotisseurs”, they are definitely one of the pioneer fine dining restaurants in town.
